Debbie's Bio

Debbie Gutierrez, a retired Connecticut State Trooper and nurse whose personal journey of self-discovery prompted her to prioritize protecting and serving her health just as she had protected and served the general public.

As a licensed practical nurse with certification in business coaching, life purpose coaching, and plant-based nutrition, Debbie brings a unique perspective to The Investigation of Self process.

When Debbie earned her State Trooper’s badge in 2000, she had it all: a supportive husband (also a state trooper), two children, the honor of being the state’s first female Hispanic trooper, and the career of her dreams. It didn’t take long before workplace and patrol stress affected her mental and physical health. Exhausted and near the breaking point, stress clearly had Debbie “under arrest.” After a few tear-filled, sleepless nights, Debbie decided not to let misery get the better of her.

Putting her investigation skills to work, Debbie wanted to find out:

  • Why was she stressed?
  • How could she do things differently?
  • How could she counter the adverse health effects of stress?
  • What could she do to improve her health and happiness?
  • How are her actions affecting the health and happiness of her family?

What she found was startling and life-altering: Life does not have to be lived in daily struggle and frustration does not need to be our state of mind.

Today, Debbie lives a much happier and healthier life. Stress no longer consumes her, and she has uncovered how to live an amazing life. She has mastered how to breath, create and show up fully in life stepping into her “Brilliance.” This is what she now shares with the world.
